Details

Regardless of field type, environmental safety standards ensure that players and officials can move safely and predictably. Surfaces must be checked for mud accumulation, excessive dust, standing water, sharp debris, or uneven footing that may cause injury.

Obstacles—whether inflatable or permanent—must be inspected for hazards such as sharp edges, unstable anchoring, or protrusions. If issues cannot be resolved immediately, the structure must be removed from play.

Visibility must remain acceptable for enforcement. If fog, heavy vegetation, or structural blind spots impair officiating, additional staff or adjusted boundaries may be required.

These rules ensure equal safety expectations across all field environments.
