Airball Field Compliance Standards
FIELD TYPES
- Field Types & Environment Rules
- Woodsball Environmental & Safety Standards
- Hybrid Field Compliance Requirements
- Environmental Safety & Hazard Prevention
Overview
The compliance requirements specific to inflatable airball fields, including bunker anchoring, surface conditions, and visibility minimums.
Key Points
- Inflatable bunkers must remain fully anchored and upright
- Surface must be free of holes, depressions, or unsafe traction changes
- Visibility must allow officials full line-of-sight across lanes
- Bunkers must match the published layout and adhere to symmetry rules
Details
Airball fields rely on inflatable bunkers arranged according to a predefined, symmetrical layout. Compliance requires correct anchoring to prevent movement during regulated play. All pathways between bunkers must remain clear of obstructions, and the surface must allow safe diving, sliding, and lateral movement.
Because airball relies heavily on lane control and unobstructed sightlines, visibility requirements are stricter than in natural-terrain environments. Officials must be positioned to see breakout lanes, wrap angles, and bunker contact zones.
Any bunker deflation or instability must be corrected before play resumes, as changes in bunker shape can alter competitive integrity.
